Our own olive grove was bought by Vladimir’s great grandfather Marko Marasović after he returned home from America and has now been in our family for over a century. It was latest looked after by our nan, Ivanka, or as we all called her, teta Janja. Since she passed away some years ago at the age of 89 it was left unattended and became largely overgrown. Thru the years, grapes, figs, olives and cherries has been grown here which with some hard works have resulted in wine, olive oil, various liqueurs (Rakija) and more.
In a world defined by fast-paced living and modern-day stressors, the path to a healthier, more meaningful life can sometimes take an unexpected turn.
We are Vladimir and Marie Colovic. In February 2022 we decided to relocate from Stockholm, Sweden to Vladimir’s family home in Skradin, Croatia. Here we want to start a new life with the aim to work towards a more sustainable lifestyle with less stress and more appreciation of the life we are given.
It was when we decided to try and save nan’s olive grove that the idea of our project Selected byColovic was born. We are very proud of our oil and the goal is to continue our family’s legacy and keep the tradition of small farming alive.
