Kračana is Skradins largest beach and this is where many people like to hang out on hot summer days. During high season you also find bars, ice cream stand, a small playground and trampolines to enjoy and also the possibility to rent sunbeds. The beach is located about 350 meters from our Townhouse. There are plenty of trees to find shade under on hot summer days.
On the downside, the water can sometimes be a bit dirty with lots of grass floating around.
By locals it goes by “Pisak”
It is a small local beach located between Dubravice and Rupe just 10 minutes by car from Skradin.
Except sunbathing and swimming there is also a football field and a boules court here and on hot summer days you may be in luck and the little bar is open.
As the picture shows there is plenty of parking available.
This is where we like to go in the afternoon after work.
Take a dip in the Adriatic Sea
This is a public beach in Brodarica. There are plenty of cafes, ice cream stands and fast-food available to affordable prices. A regular “coffee to go” cost 10 Kuna and one scoop of ice cream cost 12 Kuna, (August 2022). You can rent sun chairs and umbrellas and toilets and showers are available. There is a large free parking space just next to the beach and from Skradin it takes around 25 minutes by car. It is a child friendly beach with lots of activities available and we had no issues finding a spot even though it can be really crowded during high season.
You can also enjoy a long beach promenade along the coastline where you will find a variety of bars and restaurants along the way. We think this is a better choice than the beaches in Amadria Park.
On the downside, there is not much natural shade here so if you don’t want to rent a parasol, bring your own.
Or Solaris which is the previous name for this resort and most commonly used by locals. This is a resort complete with hotels, restaurants, bars, cafes and beaches. If you are not staying at the hotels, you are not allowed to swim in their pools but the beach is open for anyone to enjoy. They also have a miniature golf course, waterpark and various other activities. This is a very beautiful place to relax.
There are lots of parking places to choose from with various fees. From Skradin it is 25 km and takes around 30 minutes by car.
On the downside, we find this place unjustifiably expensive, a regular coffee cost 4,5 Euro and the miniature golf cost a whopping 20 EUR/person (July 2022). We would rather recommend the nearby beach in Brodarica.
